We are...

...Simo and Tanja – Fijian and German – a couple who met on the islands in 2014, built a life in Germany, and always carried Fiji in our hearts. After nearly a decade of city life and two beautiful children later, we longed for a slower rhythm, open skies, and a life that felt real again.

In 2024, we followed that longing back to Simo's home – a green hillside on Fiji’s Yasawa Islands that has been in Simo’s family for generations. With the help of family and our own hands, we’re building something special: a small collection of ocean-view bures tucked into nature – fewer than ten – each one simple, beautiful, and clean.

Welcome to Namo Hillside

Be among the first to experience Namo hillside — we’re gradually bringing a total of 7 bures to life, and our first bure is ready to welcome you. Evenings are lit by solar lamps, the bures have no electricity, and occasionally you may hear the gentle hum of the generator. Meals are Fijian-cooked and served on your private balcony.

Expect peace above the sea, where life ticks a few beats slower and the breeze is fresh. Our bures overlook the ocean, offering a simple, mindful way to stay — no Wi-Fi, no distractions, just the sounds of the island.

From this unique strip of land, you can witness the magic of both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, a rare gift of this narrow island setting. During the day, soak up the lush tropical hills and enjoy the magical ocean view. Take a scenic walk toward Mount Nakeke, or explore the quiet, untouched beach stretching toward the nearby village. In season, you may spot Mantas gliding through the nearby passage.
